Yahoo e-mail search: Valid words entered, but documents not found

Trouble Report: Yahoo E-mail Search

Preliminary Analysis

Appears as though the Yahoo e-mail seach option does not include all folders in the search, despite users choosing all folders.

Perhaps the "choice of targets" only appears as a change, but the actual search-target is not adjusted despite changes from the defaults.

Problem

Unable to find an item listed in DRAFT

- Typed in Kew word search term, known to be in a message
- Included "all" in serach options
- Chose "entire content"

Item was actually in the "draft", but the item did not appear.
- Verified the search term entered correctly [It was]
- Verified the search term in the message [It was]

Detailed steps

Assumption: Desired e-mail is located in "Draft"

1. In Yahoo mail
2. Decision: Conduct e-mail search
3. Choose, select button: "Search Mail"
4. Decision, see box: "Find Messages that contain"
5. Enter single word
6. Select "Search entire message"
7. Decision, find box: "Look in"
8. Choose: "All folders"

Result

Nothing found, despite the message located in "Draft" e-mail section. Here is the error message:

Sorry, no messages were found matching your search terms. [Edit Search Terms]

Recommendations

Let Yahoo e-mail user able to have the option to set/change default message search icons to the following two defaults:

- Search entire message [For "Find messages that contain"]
- Look in all folders [For "Look in"]
