Pipeline, Weblogs v PubSub pings, 14-Dec-04 UTC 00:09:27

Ref

Error message:

Method Not Allowed
The requested method GET is not allowed for the URL /pingservice.

-------------------------------------

Apache/1.3.31 Server at sandbox.pubsub.com Port 80

Weblogs vs PubSub

this error occurs in that there's a "limit" to the number of entries.

Apparently this limitation is understood, and being incorporated into other, competing platform:

Precise format issues will be dealt with later. Also, some differences from weblogs.com’s format are to make it easier for us to test the system. For instance, rather than a file that accumulates data over an hour, the file is constantly updated and maintains a window of at most the last 1024 pings – i.e. just a few minutes of pings. This means that if you ping us you should be able to see the results immediately in the file.

All my pings to PubSub have been going through fine.
