XML feed forwarded with Yahoo destroyed the layout in bloglines.

The "less than clean" XML feed does not report as an error with [!] in bloglines

Content only appeared in Bloglines after publishing; updates accepted;

In Bloglines, because of the shifting:

A. Unable to determine whether the posted-feed is the original [unrevised]; or

B. Whether the content has been updated;

C. Where the bottom of the specific blog entry is located [where the information is located]

Message Delivery: Took 6 hours from sending to posting, not published.

The image linked to the incorrect image.

Links within the forewarded text subsequently link to incorrect content, revised information.

Forwarded advertising images bleed into index; inadequate warning how the forwarded text might impact a blog-receiver [It's a mess].

XML feeds: Where were the feeds during the Tsunami?

Would be nice to have seen XML feeds show itself to be part of the pre-warning system.

Sadly, we hear nothing about XML. Curious. Disturbing. Telling.

Many had cellphones and instant access to the web and feeds via cellphone

Many young lives disrupted

Where were the XML feeds that everyones been talking about? If feeds truly are the new thing, it would have been nice to see those feeds put into practice and used as the earthquake occurred.

See slide 27 of 159

Test Result

If you can read this, it means that if we send an e-mail to blogger [without republishing via a ping], the e-mail can enter the feed-pipeline and show up in bloglines even without pinging or republishing.

Handy to know in case you are in a remote location and cannot connect to yourwebsite, but only able to send in text messages via cell or pager.

One-way communication is most needed, especially in places where there is no way to access computer terminals or land-lines, like South Asia and Africa.
