Pipeline Status: Embedded tags, reporting, searches, and links

Summary

This report discusses the problem of finding embedded tags in blogger. This test demonstrated the problem is illusory. Technorati has developed tools that allow embedded tags to be reported from blogger to outside databases.

This report discusses the problem of embedded tagging, contrasts Technorati's results with PubSub, and concludes that there is no excuse for any XML tool to not be able to find an embedded tag in blogger.

This test demonstrates that Technorati's tagging system works. The "problem with finding embedded tags" is not with blogger, XML, or the blogger platforms; the problem is with PubSub.

Discussion

  • Embedded tags are searchable in blogger

Despite rumors to the contrary, tools outside blogger can actually dig deep into blogger tags. But not all of them.

  • Defenses of PubSub have no merit

Some have argued that "blogger wont let PubSub into blogger." Based on Technorati's results, this defense of PubSub appears to be ridiculous.

    Technorati Continued Success

  • Technorati shows that embedded tags can be found, searched, and reported in google blogger

  • Technorati shows that blogger embedded tags can be searched from outside sources

  • As a test, we posted a Technorati tag in a blog which successfully reported quickly to Technorati's tag-database.

Here is what we did, and the output report at Technorati's database. Feel free to click the links to inspect the process yourself, and read the timely, and continuously updated output reports.

  • Users simply need to follow the instructions. They are clear. There is nothing complicated.

If you place a tag in blogger, Technorati can find it, PubSub cannot.

Again, Technorati shows that if you follow instructions, products can work. And XML-related tools can dig deep. Find content. Even when it is embedded. This cannot be said for PubSub.

    Technorati Tags Work

  • Process: Simple

  • Technology: Works

  • Concept: Demonstrated

  • There are no excuses for not finding tags

  • Blogger has no firewalls to outside searches

  • Technorati does what PubSub failed to demonstrate

  • If you want to find embedded tags, use Technorati.
