XML feed integration: How current data integration for weather assessments can be used as an analogy in integrating XML feeds for the private sector

Definitions: Integration v aggregation

Integration means stripping out the relevant-data and recombining it into a new product; while aggregation is simply combining many feeds into a single place.

Ref OK, so now we're actually finding people that are really doing this stuff. And they even have schematics.

Would it not be nice if the business end-user could also extract similar inputs and outputs from various XML-feeds and create new datasets and visual displays for their own, private interests.

I'm not talking about blogging, or capturing XML-feeds in an aggregator, but physically stripping out the data and combining it in new ways along parameters which the end-user defines.

Think going beyond visualizing the feeds, to actually allowing the individual information-packets to combine in new ways at the end-user's display.
