Known problems with Mud's Tests blog code

This is a list of the bugs on Mud's Tests. The resolutions are highlighted in green, with links to what was done, or the workaround.

Feel free to leave comments about problems you have with the blog formatting, layout, or bugs.

The following is a list of known bugs that my faithful readers have either brought to my attention or have noticed:

  • Home page

Right column has hidden command that throws it below the content; and it is incorrectly centered. what a mess! The error appears to be on the page called "Public Aggregator."

  • Browsers
    First Link
Reading this blog in Firefox is a disaster. The formatting is OK in IE.

Curiously, there is a copy and paste problem with IE that doesn't appear to be a problem for Firefox. Optimizing Firefox: How to make your Firefox Browser run faster. Wow, amazing improvements!

  • Blog Content

There is a hidden command which copies all the content twice. This has been transitory, now it is a permanent mirror.

For example, this particular entry duplicates twice or 2X-times.

And, those blogspots that were duplicating just 2x before adding Y!Q, are now duplicating 4X; however, by adding internal links I reduced the repetition to only 2X, and the index-shifting-down-problem goes away.

Some of the blogspots have content which bleeds over, and shifts the index down to the right, below the blogspot. This occurs also when foreign languages appear in the Archive.

  • Y!Q Search

The Y!Q command has an extra code at the end: " /> , which you'll see added at the end of each blogspot. This code needs to be removed.

When you click on the Y!Q search-related button, the blog-spots go to yellow. The auto-color change needs to end. Workaround.

  • RTL Languages

The current template is not properly configured to support Right to Left [RTL] reading, just Left to right [LTR]. This is a major effort.
