Customizing Google search with custom images

Tired of the plain skin? You can move this here.

Here's another example with details.

What would be nice is a simple way to:

  • Enter a search term
  • Chose an image/ or have it randomized
  • Combine the search URL with the image URL

Going further than having a custom topic-specific-searches like Gigablast, also have a custom search platform that is truly customized in tone, feel, apearance.

Ideally, there would be many different kinds of skins>, or boxes that could be customized as well with varieties of:

  • Colors, tones, feel
  • Ability to adjust the size of the various elements
  • Change the search box to a search-circle with rounded edges, and shading

Also, it would be nice if there was an easy way to integrate RSS-feed-content into the browser-URI so that users could have access to both the platform and the information. Users would be able to see

  • Content: Scrolling feed URI in the search platform-URI
  • News alerts
  • Flash alerts from their aggregator that important content has arrived

In other words, rather than placing the Google search-chicklet on my site, why not let me import to the Google platform all my desired elements and let me customize the Google search platform simply by adjusting the URI. Imagine being able to create a custom Google platform by simply adjusting the URI to add the following:

  • Favorite colors
  • Preferred images
  • Important information
  • Alerts from my prospective search
  • Flash warnings when e-mail has arrived

In other words, use the Google platform as a browser-within-a browser; don't make these features something that have to be downloaded or posted on the computer desktop, but put these as open elements that can be seamlessly added to the URI.
